Learn About Phillips Magnet Elementary

We are committed to providing rigorous classroom instruction, challenging work for advanced students, and intervention classes for students needing extra support. We offer daily instruction in health, fitness, project based learning, and 21st century skills. Our parents and teachers work together to hold all students accountable for high standards of behavior and performance. Students and parents also enjoy a variety of after school programs, performances and family fun events.

Our Success for All Approach

At Phillips, we use a Success for All approach to literacy and reading development.  For three decades, Success for All has helped children to read, learn and succeed through cooperative learning strategies and a  proven, research-based programs. Our approach aligns, supports and inspires students, parents, teachers and administration to work together to create an engaging and effective learning environment. We offer two ways to create successful schools:

SCHOOLWIDE PROGRAMS

Success for All Schoolwide Programs are whole-school comprehensive programs for schools that want a schoolwide plan to increase student achievement

TARGETED PROGRAMS

Success for All Targeted Programs have a narrower focus for schools that have identified targeted areas for improving student achievement.

All of our programs ensure that students, parents, teachers, and administration are aligned to be a part of the solution, and successful. Both the schoolwide and the targeted programs share the same core elements.
