Parent Involvement

There are many ways that Parents can help their students with school.  Any and all help is appreciated!

Contact your child's teacher or our Parent Liaison Carmen Martinez to see how you can help.  Here are just a few ideas of how:

  • Help in the classroom
  • Help after school
  • Help at home
  • Share your work experience for Career Day
  • Help students with hands-on tasks
  • Help with school events and activities
  • Join us for Breakfast & Books, the 3rd Thursday of each month at 8:05am

Each week, Principal Julie Jones sends out a "What's Happening This Week at Phillips Magnet School" newsletter on Parent Square. You will find a variety of resources and important information each week's newsletter, so please make sure to review this each week.

We offer a variety of classes and workshops for parents through our Phillips Family Resource Center's (FRC) Parent University program.  Please check the Parent University calendar (which goes out in the weekly newsletter) for more information on upcoming parent education classes and workshops.  Our Phillips FRC also offers coffee and social time each Friday morning at 8:15am inside the FRC.

Our Parent Faculty Club meets on the last Friday of the month at 8:30am to make decisions on school events and activities.  For more information, please contact our Phillips Parent & Community Liaison, Carmen Martinez at 707-346 7220.
